Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2009
Having a keen interest in photography and indeed undertaking my first professional portrait shoot next month, I was keen to visit the exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery as a matter of “study”.
I like the NPG - it has an atmosphere to it that other galleries some how do not. I put this down to the gallery appealing to a wide variety of interests and artistic taste.

I am going to see Joe Lally when he gets to Kingston in London at the end of the month.
The last time I saw Fugazi was on their first ever European date at the now defunct, Sir George Robey in Finsbury Park. It remains one of the best gigs I ever saw. During the day I had been involved in a riot at a student demonstration. All hell broke loose when some of the crowd started throwing sticks...
I love the inventiveness within this video - the animation is superb, very simple, yet extremely complex to pull off and plan - all the frames must first be created and placed within their context on the larger frame.
Must have taken hours - and I stand and clap in awe!
